Fast food with delivery
Fast food chain Burger King is testing out a delivery service at a small number of restaurants in the U.S., as it looks for new ways to increase sales. The delivery menu is available at some of its locations in Maryland and Virginia and Bloomberg reports that this pilot test will be extended to 16 restaurants by January 23rd.
The delivery service is available from 11am to 10pm and customers can place their orders either online or by phone. Deliveries cost $2 and there is a minimum order value ranging from $8 to $10, depending on the restaurant. Fountain drinks, milkshakes, coffee and breakfast foods don’t feature on the delivery menu.
Burger King’s delivery service has had some success in Mexico, Turkey, Brazil, Columbia and Peru, but the fast food chain has declined to say whether this service will be rolled out to all of its 7, 500 restaurants across the U.S. and Canada.
